Certain Assurances

Now that I’ve adjusted to being back, I’ve decided on the schedule I want to keep for the foreseeable future. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays are when you will find new content on the website, and that will be sacrosanct. Having a stable schedule is of the utmost importance to me, and I’m confident I can keep to this one. That’ll be:

  • Monday – Weeklong Roundup
  • Tuesday – New Review
  • Thursday – New FPSummer Review
  • Friday – New Review

I’ll also be posting mini-reviews on Wednesdays and Saturdays when possible, but those will only be on our Steam curator page until I get a set of five to post here. So if you’re not following me on Steam, get on that.

What complicates this is my new requirement that I finish games I recommend. That’s three games a week, which with my current real-life obligations is hard to fit anything of any significant length into. So what I’m going to do is prioritize new FPSummer reviews, have one meaty game I work on at a time, and lots of little indie titles ready to review while I chip away at the bigger games. This is a good opportunity for me to unearth some little-known gems, so if there are any games of smaller scope you’d like to see me signal boost, get in touch.

On that note, if you’d like to help me out with my work now would be the perfect time. The Patreon has been sitting just shy of our next goal, which is monthly reviews of new releases chosen by you, the readers. I’d love to mix more recent titles into the schedule, especially if they’re ones that everyone wants to read about. With just a few more dollars a month, we can make that happen. The next goal after that will be bi-monthly reviews of major releases, which is something I can’t do on my own until I get notable enough for big-time publisher support. So every little bit helps, even if it’s just a single dollar a month.

I always feel weird asking for donations, but the dream is still making it as an independent reviewer someday. It’s a long shot, of course, so each donation that rolls in feels like a huge triumph. I’m already pleased as punch that the website currently pays for itself, and I’m very much hoping it can continue to grow as a business built on donations, never ads or sponsorships. If you can help with that, it’ll be hugely appreciated.

As always, thank you so much for reading and supporting my work. Whether you’re donating or not, you’re still helping by being here and I hope you’ll be here for a long time to come. Because I will be, too!
