Gold-Plated Games

As you may recall, we hit our second follower goal on Twitch a few weeks back. Six months after our first goal of 100 followers, we’ve finally reached 250. Ignoring the fact that I should have set a more conservative goal, that means it’s time for another marathon stream! This Friday, May 31st, from 9am to 5pm PDT, I’ll be streaming for a straight eight hours on our growing Twitch channel. If you can’t normally make the streams, or if you’ve got the time to hunker down with us for hours of entertainment, this is the perfect time to join our lovely little community and berate me for ignoring entirely reasonable chat suggestions.

So what are we going to be playing? After weeks of arduous thinking and chatter on our Discord, I’ve settled on Japanese games! I’ve got quite a few titles from Japan that I’ve been meaning to fire up, and the current Playism sale is a great excuse to snap up a few odder titles from across the Pacific. At the moment, I’m planning to open things up blind with the first few hours of Metal Gear Revengeance, then flip over to some indie titles, maybe pick one or two more out of my backlog, and end with our continuing adventures in Yakuza 0. The schedule is still flexible, and I’ve got a spot for suggestions if you’d like to add yours!

As always, thank you so much for all the incredible support you’ve shown as Gold-Plated Games has grown from a cluster of Steam reviews to channels and webpages across the intertubes. We’re well on our way to prime time as a review outlet and indie advocate, and I look forward to providing you ever more thoughtful entertainment as we move up in the digital world.
