Gold-Plated Games

There are a few solid offerings in the Weeklong Deals this time around, including roguelike rampager Super House of Dead Ninjas and half of spectacular cosmic horror adventure The Last Door. I see some other stuff in there I haven’t played but folks seem fond of like Momodora and Hexcells and Wuppo, so if you’re looking for some hidden gems this is probably a good week to go exploring. Sir, You Are Being Hunted (review) – An interesting experiment in open-world procedural stealth

Super 3-D Noah’s Ark (Review) – Pretty much a goofy reskin of the original Wolfenstein 3D, still a solid shooter

Timberman (Review) – Chop wood! Chop with your friends! Chop as Santa Claus or Bruce Lee or Jason Voorhees!

Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart (Review) – Truly excellent hidden object game with some great scenes and clever puzzles

The Last Door: Season 2 (Review) – Taken with Season 1, this is perhaps the best cosmic horror adventure out there

Tower of Guns (Review) – A first-person roguelike with boring levels and terrible guns

Hard West (Review) – A good attempt at a weird west XCOM marred by some poorly-designed game systems

Sinister City (Review) – Huge technical issues keep this kitschy hidden object game from being as charming as it could be
