Weeklong Deals for 6/3/19

I like these Weeklong Deals quite a bit, and not because they’re headlined with a porn game called BoneCraft. A lot of quality adventures like Yoku’s Island and Wuppo are discounted, along with creative roguelikes like Hand of Fate. We’re probably going to take a look at City of Brass on Wednesday since it’s on sale, along with whatever other Summer @ Camp titles are also priced down.

Speaking of which, if you somehow missed it we started our summer roguelike series today! Summer @ Camp will cover 20 roguelikes over the month of June, with one review every weekday. Check in every morning for new reviews!

Goodness Yes

BioShock Infinite (Review) – Decent shooting, fantastic setting, and a story that disintegrates by the end (don’t touch the DLC)

Yoku’s Island Express (Review) – Metroidvania pinball is a hell of a thing on its own, but this also manages to be relentlessly joyful

Hand of Fate (Review) – Fantastically clever mix of deckbuilding and roguelike dungeon crawling

Wuppo (Review) – Adorable side-scrolling adventure with plenty of unexpected bits

Slain: Back from Hell (Review) – Utterly brutal platformer that fits its metal themes well

Black Paradox (Review) – Awesome retro 80s sci-fi side-scrolling shooter

EDGE (Review) – Neat puzzler about moving a cube around floating platforms

Dark Fall: The Journal (Review) – Extremely old-school point-and-click that does atmosphere well

Super 3-D Noah’s Ark (Review) – Interesting spin on classic Wolf3D FPS action

Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey (Review) – Entertaining and challenging spelling puzzle adventure

Earth Atlantis (Review) – Neat little open world shmup

Alchemy Mysteries: Prague Legends (Review) – Decent hidden object game, just with a particularly lame story

Gracious No

Hard West (Review) – Honestly I didn’t like this one but it’s interesting enough to be worth the $2 they’re asking this week

Neverending Nightmares (review) – Has a great look for a horror game, just not much in the way of gameplay

Deadly 30 (Review) – Terribly boring side-scrolling zombie survival

Monochroma (Review) – The boring, janky version of Inside

Dark Fall 2: Lights Out (Review) – What an absolute trainwreck of a sequel

Nicolas Eymerich – The Inquisitor – Book 1 : The Plague (Review) – I wish I could recommend this for how hilariously stupid it is, but it’s just bad

Sinister City (Review) – Would be a great janky HOG if it wasn’t so buggy
