Weeklong Deals for 6/1/20

There’s not much going on in these Weeklong Deals, which is pretty fair given all that’s going on elsewhere in the world. If you need a break from reality now and then, titles like SYNTHETIK and SUPERHOT will definitely get you that fix, along with some other notable indies. The week’s lineup also reminds me that I need to get back to Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic for a review… it’s a very indie and very technical city-builder, but has a ton of potential if you can get over that learning curve.
GAME ON
SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising (Review) – Incredibly deep and chaotic top-down shooter roguelike
SUPERHOT (Review) – Unique FPS where time only moves when you do
The Painscreek Killings (Review) – A very open murder mystery across an abandoned town
Yuppie Psycho (Review) – Unique office horror game featuring some lovely pixel art
The Town of Light (Review) – Heavy psychological horror game with real-world implications
Sir, You Are Being Hunted (Review) – Good attempt at an open-world procedural stealth game
The Light Keeps Us Safe (Review) – Incredibly creative and atmospheric, but very clearly unfinished
Skautfold: Usurper (Review) – Another indie stab at a 2D Dark Souls, but with a unique setting and mechanics
Omega Strike (Review) – Charming metroidvania, if a little thin on content
RymdResa (Review) – Unique Asteroids-style universe exploration roguelike
Mayhem Triple (Review) – Goofy, chaotic platform shooter
LAME OUT
Majesty 2 (Review) – A huge misstep after the hands-off strategy of the first game
Cities in Motion 2 (Review) – A huge misstep after the low-key fun of the first game
