Weeklong Deals for 1/17/22

I was briefly terrified that these Weeklong Deals were an overwhelming sprawl of thousands of deals…but no, it’s the usual manageable mess. We’ve got a couple solid choices for story and comfort this time, between RPGs and adventure, along with a few puzzle games that sprung up while we were spinning the ever-fickle Wheel of the Week on our Twitch channel.
Go for it
Timberborn – Shaping up to be a challenging, technical Banished-like city builder
Pillars of Eternity (Review) – A fine return to form for an Infinity Engine-style RPG
Eastshade (Review) – Imagine if Oblivion was warm, inviting, charming, and had no combat
Brigador (Review) – Challenging isometric cyberpunk mech mayhem
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine (Review) – You need some serious patience to get the most out of this narrative gem
Majesty Gold HD (Review) – A clever spin on hands-off fantasy RTS
Shower With Your Dad Simulator 2015: Do You Still Shower With Your Dad (Review) – Seven years on, this is still memorable for more than just the memes
Instant Farmer – Logic Puzzle – Simple, charming puzzler about getting fields to grow
Kittens and Yarn – Extremely charming puzzler that will tease your brain into knots
Dogolrax (Review) – You’re just going to have to trust me on this one
Tusker’s Number Adventure (Review) – Solid entry in the “horror disguised as edutainment” subgenre
Done with it
Hero of the Kingdom III (Review) – This is where the series took a very unfortunate turn into tedium
Space Hack (Review) – A true catastrophe of an ARPG
Hack, Slash, Loot (review) – One of the most disappointing roguelikes I’ve ever played
