Weeklong Deals for 4/8/19

Roguelikes seem to be the featured flavor in these Weeklong Deals, offering discounts on several titles we’ve covered over the last few Roguemases. There are a few platformers, puzzlers, and hidden object games mixed in there as well, so I’ll call this one a win for the forces of bargain hunters. As for reviews this week, look forward to coverage of new releases like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Islanders, because after last week’s streams I’m pretty well in love with both!
GO NUTS
EVERSPACE (Review) – Very enjoyable mix of arcade space shooting and roguelike mechanics
Rabi-Ribi (Review) – Take away the boobs (or don’t) and this is a charming and creative metroidvania that’ll last you ages
Unexplored (Review) – A technically-deep roguelike that makes its complexity as accessible as possible
Happy Room (Review) – Lots of dumb fun blowing up dummies, but still being expanded with more content
Bunker Punks (Review) – Fast-paced 2.5D FPS with roguelike progression
Teleglitch (Review) – An all-time favorite survival horror sci-fi roguelike
Hexcells (Review) – Brilliant little Minesweeper-esque puzzler
Hexcells Plus (Review) – Picks up in difficulty right where Hexcells leaves off
9 Clues: The Secret of Serpent Creek (Review) – Nice and cheesy B-horror HOG
SkyDrift (Review) – Fun little arcade airplane racer, just don’t expect to have anyone to play with
Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride (Review) – A particularly colorful and engaging HOG
Haunted Past: Realm of Ghosts (review) – Dated but decent horror HOG
OK/NORMAL (Review) – Neat little game that feels like a haunted PS1 disc
YOU’RE NUTS
Claire (review) – Lame excuse for pixel-art Silent Hill
Neverending Nightmares (review) – Great look, terrible gameplay
The Body Changer (Review) – Badly-designed third-person puzzle metroidvania
Hektor (review) – My distaste for this game is well-documented
