Weeklong Deals for 10/7/19

We’ve got a few more highly recommended titles in the Weeklong Deals this time, including one from our current Spooky Games series! Definitely pick up Apsulov: End of Gods if you’re in the market for a unique, terrifying take on Norse mythology. There are some good roguelikes up to bat as well, like EVERSPACE and SYNTHETIK. Really it’s a big week for games in all caps, come to think of it.
We’re wrapping up a bunch of games on our streams this week, including Undertale tonight, Amnesia: The Dark Descent on Friday, and Final Fantasy Legend II on Saturday. That’s going to free us up to really dive into some classic horror games over the next few weeks, including Lone Survivor, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, and the long-lost AfterFall: Insanity. Be sure you’re following our Twitch channel if you want to join us for some spooky nights, too!
A BOO-tiful Deal
EVERSPACE (Review) – Wonderful mix of arcade space dogfighting and roguelike mechanics
Apsulov: End of Gods (Review) – I JUST explained to y’all why this is one of the best horror games of the season
SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising (Review) – Very addictive top-down roguelike shooter with some surprisingly deep mechanics
BUTCHER (Review) – Hilariously grim and brutal platform shooter about terminating the last humans on Earth
Nightmares from the Deep 2: The Siren’s Call (Review) – Not as good as the first but still an above-average hidden object game
Orbt XL (Review) – Decent little arcadey thing about keeping planets in orbit around space hazards
Drox Operative (Review) – Terribly unique galaxy-spanning sci-fi ARPG
EDGE (Review) – Stylish puzzler about moving a cube around platforms in space
Straimium Immortaly (Review) – Strange as hell roguelike shooter, in the best way possible
Cargo Commander (Review) – Neat little roguelike platformer with a great story
Just Don’t BOO-ther
Neverending Nightmares (review) – Great aesthetic, but not much else
Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge (Review) – A retro platformer in all the worst ways
The Outlaw, The Drunk, & The Whore (Review) – Boring and clunky
